I think the manufacture of this clip light has a thing with the number 3. Along with coming with three light settings, 3 power functions, it also has three ways to attach it to items. There is the clip, a pair of sticky hooks, and a mount to attach it to a wall. I plan on just clipping it to the canopy when I am camping. The motion detector picked me up when I got relatively close to it, which is perfect for what I need.I used the included USB charging cable to fully charge it before testing it out. It is located on the inner area of the clamp on the backside. I like that it has a rubber cap over it to help keep water out. It is also able to be charged via the solar panel which will be great when camping, when I don't have access to electricity. As for the lights, it has two sets of LEDs. The first set produces white light, the next set produces more of a warm/yellow light. You can choose either one or turn them both on for even more light. The three working modes are allow you to choose to have it come on when it detects motion, stay on dim and brighten up when motion is detected, or just stay on dim all night. The plastic seems to be of good quality and should be able to take repeated use. The only thing of caution is that the charging cable from the solar panel is unprotected on the inside of the clamp, so I am going to be a little more careful when packing this up to ensure nothing snags it. Overall, I am happy with the light.
