You will still need a resistor to use this, unless the ones I got are badon the overall rating i gave it a three star due to the gap between the light assembly and side panel of my truck. It's about a 3/8" of an inch gap to where you can see the light assemble pegs that enter the side panel.These were a replacement for 8 year old faded LED taillights on my 2005 Chevy Silverado. I compared several similar taillights before I found these. There was nothing mentioned in the description or in any reviews that I saw but the pictures showed the brake lights and turn signals separate so I took the chance and got them. I am glad that I did. They are very bright, brake lights are on top and turn signals below. The backup light window is clear which allows my LED backup lights to give there full light.These lights are very well made and fit perfectly. They are very easy to install - took about 5 minutes per side - and they look great. I have had several people comment on how much better they look than the OEM lights since installing them. They are also much brighter than OEM. Highly recommend.I’m not sure what’s going on with the lights, I do not have a short on the truck! It’s in the taillights somewhere. L and R will barely light up.Bought these in June and they’ve already shorted out spend the extra money and get a better setMy old tail lights for my 2001 Chevy 1500 were from the factory. they were worn and very faded. Getting this really adds a nice touch to the truck. It was soooooooo easy to install. Took me 15 mins total to install both of these tail lights. Literally plug n play. Probably the quickest and easy install on my truck so far. Will totally recommend this to anyone in need of some new tail lights.These are the absolute best taillights for the money in my opinion. Paired with some led reverse lights these things are mint. Really simple and easy to install and super bright, 5 stars would definitely buy again
